5/6 – Clean Sweep

Clean Sweep in Upper Monroe – TWO Neighborhood Worksites Need YOU

Saturday | May 6 | 9:00

Meet at the Corner of Monroe and Laburnum or at Wide Water Gardens

Our Neighborhood Flower Beds along Monroe Avenue need a good Spring Clean-Up to get the season off to a good start.  These beds are maintain by a few dedicated volunteers all season long. They would love your help on May 6.  Meet at the flower bed at Monroe and Laburnum at 9:00.  Bring your own tools and garden gloves if possible.

Our Community Garden, Wide Water Gardens, at the end of Rosedale Street also needs volunteers, to join those with who have rented garden plots this season, for Spring Clean-Up and other projects.  Celebrating its 7th anniversary, Wide Water Gardens is a community treasure for all of us to enjoy.  Meet there at 9:00 to help with this great neighborhood transformation.

Clean Sweep is a City Wide Program.  We invite you to come directly to either of our two sites to join neighbors and lend a hand.  Alternatively, you may head first to Frontier Field at 8:00 if you’d like a Clean Sweep t-shirt, ticket for the 1:35 Red Wings game and a food and drink voucher for the game.  Then come on back to either site.

The Rochester Red Wings is partnering with the City on Saturday May 6th for this year’s Clean Sweep, starting at 8am going to 12pm starting and ending at Frontier Field. Participants will get a ticket for the game later that day at 1:35pm. They’ll also receive a voucher for food and drink at the game. Free parking will be available to those wearing Clean Sweep t-shirts. NOTE:  You will have to go to Frontier Field at 8:00 if you want to receive the t-shirt, ball game ticket and food voucher.
