From the President -
Joshua Bauroth,
Message From the President
Spring is here! Spring may be off to a sputtering
start, but it’s time to get out in the street and see
what’s going on. Here in Upper Monroe we’re looking
forward to a great Spring and Summer. In the months
ahead the neighborhood looks forward to Clean Sweep,
Rochester Blossoms, fund-raising, gardening and just
enjoying all that Upper Monroe has to offer.
In
addition, the city has commissioned a housing study
which will affect you. For more information and the
opportunity to have your voice heard via a survey, go
to:
http://rochesterhousingstudy.com/. This is your
opportunity to learn about what the city may be planning
while providing your own input. I did it myself and it
only takes a few minutes.
Closer to the neighborhood, more things are happening.
The Upper Monroe Charrette process, which began in 2004,
continues. Most recently, we received our second
Neighborhood grant. This one funds an Engle Garden
Upgrade which will improve both access to and the
appearance of the garden at Engel Place as well as the
surrounding area. There are many opportunities to get
involved. Contact anyone at UMNA to get started. The
neighborhood needs you!
