Please take time, as much time as you have to give, for a September 24 work day in Washington Grove. Our primary task will be to remove invasives (Young Norway Maples and black swallowwort from the Hemlock grove and surrounds that connect Washington Grove with the reservoir area. The Hemlocks are infected with woolly adelgid. We are working with the City forestry department to preserve them through trunk insecticide injections. This effort day will improve the environment in which they live.
The details: Beginning time is 9:00 a.m., formal end is noon, although if you have less time to give, we appreciate whatever is possible.
Meeting place is the Nunda entrance to Washington Grove.
