Screams of joy could be
heard at Tay House this past January 20th during the
first annual Upper Monroe Winter Party.

Over 100 neighbors
filtered in during the afternoon, sledding, playing
outside, and partaking of tasty wings and hot chili
donated by our very own Jeremiah’s along with coffee and
hot chocolate donated by Starbucks (both located on
Monroe Avenue).
If you get a chance,
thank these two fine businesses with your patronage. In
addition to the hot food and beverages, there was a
blazing fire warming the children, and yes, the adults
too, as they came in from sledding down the hill.
The weather was cold and
windy but by any measure the Winter Party was a complete
success. The neighborhood association would like to
thank everyone who came and had fun and all those who
volunteered their time and donations for the
neighborhood party. Without you, this could not have
happened.
If you weren’t there this
time, make it a point to come out next winter. You will
definitely have a good time!
